Honduran coffee is penetrating the speciality market, however brand awareness is less compared to the neighbouring countries Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Honduras produces mainly a rich arabica coffee, often used today by coffee retailers for blending. Robusta is another variety grown at lower elevations.
