About the bean

Historically, Rwanda has been the 9th largest producer of arabica in Africa, with 500,000 small farms averaging less than 1 hectare each. This coffee is hand-picked then washed at centralized wet mills before sun drying.

Sourced from the Gisuma Co-operative in Rwanda's Rusizi District. Grown at an altitude of more than 1,600 m in ideal growing conditions.

Bright and buttery with light notes of chocolate. Recommended as a medium roast and served as espresso, filtered or French pressed.
