The Brazil French Press coffee maker, designed in the early '80s, was Bodum's first coffee maker and quickly became a symbol of what Bodum stands for: attractive and functional design at an affordable price.
The Brazil has a heat resistant, borosilicate glass beaker (the standard for all Bodum French press plungers) and a polypropylene handle and base, which makes the Brazil easy to use and easy to clean. The domed lid is made of a smooth, matte black polypropylene and offers the special Bodum safety and aroma seal to ensure your coffee stays warm.
Brewing coffee in a Brazil is one of life's great pleasures.

When Bodum took over a small clarinet factory in Normandy in 1982, it wasn't because of the fine orchestra clarinets they were producing but because of a relatively unknown coffee maker called the Chambord which they, by coincidence, produced as well.
Bodum combined the skills of these Normandy craftsmen with modern production, and the price of the goods as a result became affordable to many people who loved the taste of coffee brewed in this unique coffee maker, later known as the French press coffee brewer.
Thanks to Bodum, and thanks to the increasing need for better coffee, the French press coffee maker became one of the most popular coffeemakers in the world. The design has not changed a bit from the original drawings, and Bodum still makes the Chambord with the same painstaking care and knowledge learned from those proud craftsmen in windy Normandy.
The Chambord French Press is available in four size models: 3 cup (0.35L/12oz), 4 cup (0.5L/17oz), 8 cup (1.0L/34oz), and 12 cup (1.5L/51oz).

The Young Press was designed by the Bodum Design Group to develop a modern yet functional coffee press that delivers top quality coffee and can be used in a variety of environments. The durable frame is made of santoprene - a hard rubber like material. The windows are made of clear polycarbonate.
Together, these two layers form a protective skin around the glass beaker that helps prevent breakage, making the Young Press an ideal press for home, office, boat, and even camping. The glass beaker can easily be removed for cleaning and placement in the dishwasher. For those who prefer to hand-wash they Young Press, they don\'t need to worry as much about knocking the glass beaker against a metal sink. The Young Press\' frame also assists in keeping the coffee hot longer while insuring that the body of the press remains cool to the touch and is safe to set on most surfaces. Should the glass beaker break, it is easily replaced with the the standard Bodum 8-Cup Replacement Glass.
The Young Press is available in 8 cup (1.0L/34oz).
