About the bean

Yemen was the first country in the world to plant coffee and its tiny port of Mokha, on the Red Sea, was the first port to export coffee to a global market.

Mokha is a name associated with the best coffee has to offer. Yemeni coffee, organically grown for more than 200 years, is considered among the best of the best owing to the strength of its aroma.

Yemen Mokha Grade A is a blend of Mattari Grade A, Haimi Grade A, Harazi Grade A and Saihi Grade A from the following areas: Bani Mattar, Haima, Harraz and Saih.

Comments: "Even more odd than the tiny size of this bean is the incredible range of flavours packed into such a small space. Slightly bitter, fully flavourful without being heavy or opaque. Its flavours are rounded and full, yet refreshing, sustaining notes of honey, milk chocolate and malt, and a faint citrus accent. This is a fantastic morning coffee, a lively companion to whom to wake."
