About the bean

Finca El Renacer is a boutique farm in the department of Jinotega, a star player in Nicaragua’s “Coffee Route”. Located in the country’s north-central highlands, 40-45% of Nicaragua’s coffee is grown here, as well as many of its Cup of Excellence winners.

Known as the “City of Mists” and the “Coffee Capital of Nicaragua,” Jinotega’s landscape offers views of coffee-covered mountains in every direction on a clear day. However, cloud coverage is quite constant, which, combined with morning fog, creates a bruma that slow-ripening, high-quality Arabica coffee adores.

In the cup, expect a caramel-sweet pleasure enhanced by a smooth body that’s both creamy and flavorful. A terrific standalone, a Full City roast adds punch for espresso. Try a Vienna profile for an extra special result (although sweetness drops off). Switch to an Americano at a City roast for those of you who enjoy a tea-like affect.

Cupping Notes
