About the bean
Ready for your next favourite cup?
Nestled in Brazil’s prestigious Cerrado Mineiro region, the award-winning Fazenda São Luiz has been crafting exceptional coffees for over a century. Today, siblings Ana Cecilia Gondim Velloso and Lucio Velloso are infusing their remarkable family legacy with science-driven innovation. Ana Cecilia was among the first in the region to blend cutting-edge coffee technology with deep environmental care.
This Yellow Catuaí Natural is the beautiful result.
Naturally processed and meticulously harvested at peak ripeness, this offering bursts with vibrant fruit and luxurious depth. Bright raspberry and black currant dance upfront, giving way to rich layers of Ferrero Rocher-style chocolate (yes! we tasted FR!), and toasted hazelnut. A juicy stone-fruit acidity energizes this Brazilian, while a lush, sweetly fruity finish invites us to linger long in the sun of heritage excellence.
What makes it truly special?
The Velloso family’s unwavering commitment to sustainability: water conservation, compost fertilization, thoughtful soil management, and ethical labour practices. Every bean reflects care — for the land, the people, and what we get to enjoy. Espresso, filtered, or French press, as well as blends — expect a sweet and complex, full-bodied chocolatey yum-yum that rises to preference.
