We’re reaching back to the days of our bricks and mortar location for this week’s featured pick: Espresso Mello. As an in-house blend, our policy is to reveal little more than a tease. In the past we described Mello as a full-bodied, mild blend with “eye-pleasing crema,” intrigued by “a bit of sharpness and a touch of the exotic”.

Our current incarnation of “Espresso Mello” is rather less calm! A fruit-forward expression, in the cup we have a flavorful offering with a robust body—a rich, textured espresso with a sweet intensity. Brewed as a V60 pour-over (City roast), the process amplifies a bright, juicy character, retaining a surprising heft for a drip method, amped by a lively acidity.

Dense yet nuanced, Mello offers layers that reward exploration across various brew styles.
