About the bean

Adola farm, in Ethiopia’s Sidamo region, is renowned for its exceptional growing conditions. With its high elevation and annual rainfall of 1,500 mm, Adola provides an optimal environment for coffee cultivation. Nutrient-rich nitosols support the growth of heirloom coffee varieties, which are highly valued for their fruity-spice appeal. Adola’s advanced processing facilities, including wet and dry mills, handle over 2 million kilograms of green beans each year. This capacity allows Adola to maintain and accentuate the unique character of the coffees they offer.

The flavour notes for this lot are intriguing. The overall mix tends to shine as an espresso or drip brew. We like to add Sidamo to blends for the interesting dimension it adds. Its acidic and fruity profile complement beans from Brazil and Colombia to create a most pleasant and sweet result.

Taste Profile: Lemon. Tea. Fruit Forward. Blueberry. Cocoa.
