This limited-edition, in-house blend is born from three origins and tuned for the full spectrum. Moving like a seasoned rhythm section, Take Five offers effortless body, bright balance, and a sunlit sweetness that hits just right.
Whether you’re pulling a velvet espresso shot, plunging a French press, dialing in drip, or spinning an Aeropress, this is one adaptable player. Creamy, vibrant, with just enough acidity to keep things lively. Home roasters: this blend mixes two distinct regions—things may look a bit uneven but, no matter the profile, the results will be great.
How did we get here? Back in the summer of 2018, Mitch Beauregard—barista turned musician—laid this track down in the old Green Beanery bricks and mortar days. He was determined to create a blend that could handle press pot to pourover to espresso and everything in between. No clichés, just pure versatility with a cool name to match.
Taste notes: Good body, clean balance, juicy notes that dance—lemon zest, agave sweetness, and a smooth chocolate undertone. Roast it to your own tempo. Medium-dark for espresso if you’re chasing that classic pull.
Take Five. Pour. Play. Repeat.
Roast recommendation: As you please. We enjoy a Full City (pleasant & smooth). For an explanation of our different roasts, see here: http://greenbeanery.ca/pages/roasting-chart.
