Roasted - Espresso Sweet Santa (Coffee of the Week)

| /

About the bean

This in-house blend brings together some of the finest coffees we carry. As an in-house (and guarded) recipe, we can't say which but we can reveal one or two important insights.

Sweet Santa's acidity lands in the mid-range which works very well for espresso. We typically recommend this one as a City or Full City roast profile for flavour, but ticking darker (to Vienna) is an excellent choice for those of you who enjoy their chocolate note a tad smoky. We also recommend Santa brewed Aeropress and/or French press style. Expect a more salty result from a V60 pour over (likely because filtering removes the oils that increase sweetness).

For home roasters: allow the beans to rest for a few days after roasting. We find the pause produces a special magic for a blend that's already close to perfect.

Roast Recommendation: City to Vienna. For an explanation of our different roasts, see here: https://greenbeanery.ca/pages/roasting-chart.

Note: The roasted Coffee of the Week is available as a City, Full City and Vienna roast profile option only.
