About the bean
A coffee meditation for the year's end as we begin another journey in time: our new and very special Kenya Ndundu AB comes to us from the Thiririka Farmers Cooperative. Thiririka is made up of approximately 800 smallholder farmers who deliver their beans to the Ndundu Coffee Factory for processing and washing. Ndundu means "agreement/unity" and is said to encourage people to work together. Well, folks, let's drink this in and lift into '22 in the spirit of unity!
Cheers to all that
Traceability for Kenyan coffees is quite rare and we're thrilled to be able to share source notes for this offering. The Ndundu Factory is well known for its meticulous processing care and high-quality product.
In the cup, expect a classic Kenyan with sweet red fruit and lemon notes. Typically, for blends, we like to mix Kenya and Colombia - either half and half or play with the ratio to preference. This Kenyan is not as buzzy as most, so that's good news for coffee fans looking for a little less acidity.

CUPPING NOTES:
The recommended roast is medium to accentuate the sweet (the citrus is more muted at this level). Very aromatic. Strong body and aftertaste. Excellent coffee pairing for desserts. For the adventurous, go lighter on the roast spectrum to enjoy a lemon tea version of coffee. It's quite the fresh friend of a morning.
