A groundbreaking study involving over 130,000 participants reveals that moderate caffeine intake from coffee (and tea) may significantly reduce the risk of dementia and slow cognitive decline, suggesting that our beloved caffeine offers more than just a quick energy boost. Conducted over 43 years, the research indicates that consuming 2–3 cups of coffee or 1–2 cups of tea daily is linked to the greatest cognitive benefits, with even higher consumption showing an 18% lower dementia risk. This research highlights the potential long-term brain benefits of caffeine, challenging previous assumptions about its effects on cognitive health.
On that note, our new featured coffee offers a double dose of brain-boosting caffeine. Check out Ugandan Robusta SC18, available as both a roasted and unroasted option. It’s tasty and it’s oomph-tastic.
