La Verona’s forested expanses form a vital habitat and refuge for the region’s rich biodiversity. The farm’s logo—a black panther—honours this living presence and underscores the central role of fauna in the estate’s DNA.
Fully 35% of the property is set aside as protected forest reserve within the National Natural Reserve “El Arenal,” one of Nicaragua’s scarce remaining areas of nebliselva (cloud forest). This commitment to conservation safeguards the unique microclimate and ecological balance that contribute to the distinctive character of La Verona’s specialty coffees.
